Quick Tips for Refunds

How many of you as sellers have had a buyer win a bid or click "Just Buy It" and then the sale ends up incomplete? Well as you know with an online shopping site, you will always have a few idle buyers. Although we have had a few complaints from our sellers, the good thing is that even though there is a success fee (sales commission) for each sale, we at JamDeal have in place our very own Refund Request system for your unsuccessful sales.

For those of you who are not aware, here is how it works:

1. Log in to your JamDeal account
2. Go to "My JamDeal"
3. Select "Sold Items"
4. Scroll to the item(s) in question
5. Select the Refund Request option (which to the right under the "Actions" column)
6. Give the reason for requesting the refund
7. Click on "Submit Request for Credit"

Once your request is submitted to us, the necessary adjustments will be made to your account within 24 hours.

Please be advise that the sales commission determines your refunded amount which is dependent on the cost of your item. For further information, take a look at our site fees.

Android Phones in Jamaica

There seems to be a growing interest for Android Phones in Jamaica. Despite the clear dominance of Blackberry phones in this country many people have gotten tired of the poor usability, poor browsing experience, and poor battery life of RIM phones. Many then look to the iPhone, and it has quite a few users, however there are those that absolutely love Androids.

For Android phone users there love affairs begins with some of the phone's features. For example:

• Quick search box - a search box that provides quick click options for various options on the phone.
• Faster camera - Not a feature you would think matters until you are at a concert or an event trying to get those magical shots and have to wait until the phone refreshes.
• Text to speech -  you might have to "twang" to get this to work, but it works!
• Apps Market - While Apple has more apps, the actual app market for Android is way more attractive and fun to use.

There are other features that Android has over the iPhone, and certainly when it comes to battery life and browsing the Androids are far superior to a Blackberry. So will Android phones someday become dominant in Jamaica. Who knows, but based on the amount of Android phones for sale in Jamaica on JamDeal, we think it may be picking up.
